“Yeah, yeah, yeah, environment, equipment, blah, blah, blah. Let’s face it almost every studio around has it. The one thing the other guys don’t have is Matt Morgan, especially if you’re recording for the 1st time, this does make a difference. Now if you’re ultra professional and you have everything worked before you go into the studio and you can make every second count this may not be important to you, but the dirty little secret of the recording game is this …TIME. Most studios know 90% of us are not ready when we go into a studio and you’re half way through the session before we even start to get our stuff together. And what does that mean? That means more money for the studio because you have to book more time to achieve what you thought you could do the first time out and there’s only one person to blame and that’s yourself. Without a doubt if you look hard enough you’ll find better rates somewhere than Sit-N-Spin but you can bet they’re making it up somewhere and letting you hang yourself by being ill prepared is one of the best ways. Matt understands this and is always willing to help in any way he can. I’ve worked with Matt for close to 14 years now, I know first hand of his work in Atlanta and New York, and I do know there is a difference. If you’re like me you have to watch every penny spent on recording and I would suggest you do a little homework and personally talk to people who have recorded at Sit-N-Spin and listen to what has come out of there, or you can go spread your money all over town before you finally realize you should have used Sit-N-Spin in the first place, and believe me somewhere along the line you’ll figure it out.”

“Sit-N-Spin offers a unique recording environment with talented and versatile personnel. The engineers and producers who work out of this studio are among the most knowledgeable in the area. They are extremely familiar with all styles and genres from the most current to the most retro and can easily find the sound and vibe of their clients. I always recommend this place to all the projects that I’m involved with. The studio itself is well equipped, but more important – the people there know how to use it.”

Steve Pugh

“It may seem like I’m repeating other reviews but when the news is all good you just have to say it again. In my opinion Sit-N-Spin is THE place to go in the upstate for your recording needs. My previous experience in studios was always trying to strike a comfortable balance between the egos of the artists and engineers. Not so at Sit-N-Spin! Our band went in for their 3 song demo package and I was dubious at first. These folks are so easy to work with it almost feels like you’re at home (but with professionals invited for the heavy lifting). We walked away with a great product that we’re proud to market and all the digitized master tracks as well! I also want to echo the mention of the relaxed rule set. It’s so nice to go somewhere that offers very professional facilities and services at an extremely reasonable price without feeling like you’re imposing or intruding. We’ll definitely be back for our next recording project.”

Jeff Holland

“I’ve worked in a lot of studios, both local/regional, home and large scale production with sound and video. Sit’N'Spin is a hidden gem in Greenville, SC. Matt Morgan has a great ability to produce a solid, well-mastered project in a matter of hours, and you can’t beat their price. It’s one thing to have a lot of gear, but it’s a whole other ballgame when you know how to use it. Whether you’re needing a quick demo, voice overs or a full scale CD, you’ll be impressed with the quality and service you get in a relaxed, productive atmosphere. The rooms sound wonderful, and the final product will speak for itself. Way to go guys. Keep up the good work!”

“Master quality recording in a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere. Engineers are super professional, easy going and easy to talk to. Tried some other local places throughout the years and I was pretty apprehensive about working with an hourly studio/engineer again, but Sit-N-Spin (Matt and Alex, to be specific) really helped me bring MY ideas and the sound I wanted out in the final mix. They’re cheap too, and worth every penny. Oh yea, they also have a smoking room and no strict rules regarding drinks and food, which is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out.”
