Matt Morgan is a musician, composer, and producer from Greenville, SC.
Matt has experience as a live sound engineer for renowed artists including Hootie and the Blowfish and Steve Morris. He began touring the country as a vocalist and guitar player with a variety of bands such as award-winning Seconds Flat and The Lackies. Matt had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists Christian Bush (Sugarland), Yonrico Scott (Grammy Winner), The Old 97’s, Shawn Mullins, Sara Evans, and The Marshall Tucker Band.
After touring the States, Matt moved to New York and worked on sound design for theater productions while continuing to perform live. He then returned home and opened his own commercial recording studio. Since then he has been producing bands and musicians while performing guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, piano, dobro, drums, and vocals for his clients in multiple genres.
Since owning Sit-N-Spin, he has produced and engineered albums with Damn Louise, Delaluna, Edwin McCain, Snarky Puppy, Travis Smith, Yonrico Scott, DMX, Derek Trucks, Marcus King Band, Jacob Johnson, Whitney Walters, Charles Hedgepath, and many others.
He is currently owner of Sit-N-Spin Recording Studios, and also Music Editor of Fete Magazine which produces monthly videos that feature live performances of local and regional acts. Matt also films and edits a weekly internet show called “Fete TV,” which brings weekly updates on happenings in Greenville, SC’s art, theater and music communities.
John Martin is Sit-N-Spin’s house Engineer. He is a long time music veteran from Greenville, South Carolina. John was a computer programmer and consultant, taught guitar, and brings many other talents to Sit-N-Spin. His music background as well as his computer expertise makes him invaluable to the daily operations at the studio. His specialties are in rock, blues, acoustic, funk, and country, but is comfortable in almost any genre of music. Feel free to reach out to him for a studio tour and to listen to past clients.
Daniel Gregory is a Mix Engineer and a graduate from Berklee College of Music.
He's a multi-instrumentalist with decades of experience in the live music industry, both on stage and running the soundboard. He comes to us from being a live sound engineer at the infamous Ground Zero.
Some current credits for recording include The Greenville Jazz Collective, Mitchell Wolfe, Eli Edwards, and Lindsey Stirling.
His specialties include Rock, Metal, Pop, Electronica (EDM), R&B, Hip-hop, Folk, and is a fan of music in every genre.
Jay Spivey is a life-long Greenville loving online entrepreneur who partners with Sit-N-Spin on producing video projects. Jay started fête magazine over 9 years ago as a unique marketing model that uses an incredibly versatile mobile/online format to promote local events, music and businesses. He also provides graphic designs, festival/event marketing strategies and social media consulting.
